The question is not: what to wear on a cruise? - But is: What to bring and when to wear it?. Cruise dress codes fall into three categories casual, informal and formal. I will define these categories later on, but for now just remember that a cruise is an elegant experience that everyone should experience. Watching the sun go down behind the oceans horizon will truly cast a spell on you and your partner, a memory never to be forgotten.
Cruises have a defined evening schedule. The dress codes for the scheduled events are strictly adhered to, so it is important that you are prepared with all the necessary attire to get the full benefit out of your holiday. Daily dress codes take affect after 6pm. Before 6pm every day is casual.
Included in the final documentation for your cruise should be a schedule. This schedule is a complete itinerary of your time on and off the ship. More important however it will clearly define the theme for each day/evening and what the expected dress code will be for each event.
A typical 7 day cruise will consist of
· Two formal nights
· Two casual nights
· One to four informal nights
Plan for success-Make a list
You will typically have limited luggage space unless you are planning on paying for extra luggage so careful planning is in order to ensure you have enough outfits for every event. Wearing the same cocktail dress twice will never be noticed if you accessorize it differently. Changing your purse, jewelry, shoes and a shawl will give a different look for any outfit.
Some people wear long gowns on cruises but a shorter formal dress is just as acceptable unless you're on the most exotic cruises.
Casual Wear-Informal Wear-Formal Wear
Before we proceed any further, we need to differentiate between casual, informal and formal wear. This will allow us to put the dress codes in prospective.
Casual Wear
Casual wear should be comfortable. Depending on your plans for the day your clothing should match the activities. Warm weather on the ship will require your choice of swimwear, cover-up and sandals. Day trips ashore will dictate shorts with tee shirts or polo style shirts and comfortable strolling shoes. You can also plan on buying tops while you are shopping however keep in mind that you need room to bring them home. Mix and Match will save packing room and give you a different look as your cruise progresses.
Evening casual is slightly a different story. Shorts are not considered acceptable evening casual wear. A women's evening causal wardrobe consists of skirts, tops, pant outfits or sporty dresses. Focusing on two colors that can be combined, you can mix and match with different accessories for a complete different look for every casual event.
Keep in mind the first night and last night are typically casual nights. You likely won't have your luggage before dinner on the first night and your luggage will already be packed for the last evening.
Some cruise lines discourage jeans in their dining rooms on casual evenings. For the most part you can get away with them but you will likely feel out of place. Use common sense when it comes to jeans. Plus jeans are hot; you should consider a lighter material.
A word of caution, short shorts are only acceptable in the fitness center and while you are at the pool. They are strictly shunned upon while walking around the cruise ship so make sure you have a cover-up if you plan on walking around the cruise ship in your swimsuit or short shorts.
Informal
Informal wear is a grey area when it comes to cruise lines. Your best bet is to review the definition of "informal wear" defined by the cruise line you are traveling on. This definition can be found on their website and travel brochures.
The general rule for informal wear is that it only applies to evening activities. Informal wear consists of a dressier dress or pants outfit. Many cruise lines have dropped the informal category and replaced it with resort casual, which is slightly more formal than casual wear.
Formal
The formal night on cruise ships for lack of a better term is the Cinderella effect. The dress code for women will range from simple cocktail dresses to the most formal shimmering gowns. If you have been to a graduation, wedding or similar formal gathering your outfit will surely meet the dress code and make you shine.
The most important piece of formal wear a woman can own is a pair of silky black dress pants. They take up no room in a suitcase, can be mixed and matched for different occasions and typically have an elastic waistband which comes in handy as your holiday progresses while eating all of the rich food typically provided on a cruise.
Wraps
Cruise ships keep their indoor temperatures on the cool side and evening temperatures on the deck will cool off so include a wrap in your wardrobe to fend off the chill after a day in the sun.
A cover up will save you a great deal of time on a cruise ship. You can wear your swimsuit by the pool, throw on your cover up and venture into the lunch buffet without going back to your cabin to change.
Shoes
Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing, deck shoes with a rubber type sole will be an asset for strolling aboard the ship.
High heels are permitted but remember cruise ships are big and you will spend a good portion of your day strolling from place to place. Comfort is the key.
Hats
Wearing a hat will ward of the sun but keep in mind that the prevailing winds will send your hat abroad if it is not well fitted.
Additional Items you should consider packing
- Portable radio/CD player
- Bottle corker
- Camcorder
- Camera
- Medications
- Tylenol/Advil
- Motion sickness
- Prescription medications if required
- Sunburn creams
- Nausea medication
- Sunscreen
- Extension cord-Ship cabins have limited outlets
- Hair dryer-ships hairdryers are typically small
- Shampoo
- Hair Conditioner-salt water and ocean spray will dry your hair
- Body wash
- Electrical adapters- may be required on foreign cruise lines
- Extra sunglasses
- Binoculars
- Cell phone-ship phones are very expensive; your cell phone will be considerably cheaper. A word of caution however, check with your cell phone service provider before using your cell phone in foreign country Many countries have different regulations pertaining to privacy and your personal information could be at risk
Final Words of Advice
1) Pack a carry-on bag with one outfit, a swimsuit and your essentials. Luggage does get lost and if you have the minimum basics with you, shopping for a couple of essentials while you are waiting for your luggage to show up will not be as stressful. Most important, don't let the temporary loss of your luggage ruin your cruise, go with the flow, it will usually show up at the next port.
2) When on shore, keep your clothing simple, t-shirts with funny sayings or logos might not only be offensive to the local community but advertise you are a tourist
3) Don't wear extravagant jewelry when you are off of the ship. This will attract unwanted attention and cold have a disastrous outcome
4) When sightseeing, be careful when entering churches and temples, many will enforce a strict dress code so long shorts, loose skirts and tops with long sleeves are the safest approach
5) In Muslim countries, women will need to cover their heads, shoulders and legs before entering a mosque. This dress code is enforced and violations will not be tolerated.
6) Don't insult fellow passengers by rushing back to your cabin after a formal dinner and change back into your shorts or swimwear. Go with the flow and enjoy the evening as it is planned.
7) If formal wear is not your style, there are cruises that are strictly casual and will give you a more relaxed atmosphere however you will be missing a great opportunity for luxury and relaxation. Everyone should take one formal cruse in their lifetime; if for nothing else just to have the experience.
8) Last but not least, relax, enjoy and respect your fellow passengers. Many people meet lifelong friends on cruises. The combined experience of open ocean air and daily port excursions will make your cruise a memorable one.

While transporter rooms have yet to become a part of our daily mode of transportation, there is one item from "Star Trek" tech that has become a popular consumer electronics staple. The portable "hand held communicator" that was used by the crew of the Starship Enterprise, has made its way to our planet in the form of a cell phone. Weaving the technology into the fabric of our society took some time. The first handheld cell phone commercially available to the US market was the Motorola DynaTAC, way back in 1983. The cost to own a DynaTAC was around four thousand dollars. The calling plan was a whopping one dollar per minute. This made the cell phone cost prohibitive to most of the general public. Only those with financial means could afford to own it. It took more than a decade, but like most things in the technological arena, phone prices finally dropped and the cell phone emerged. It was smaller and more portable then it's first cousin the DynaTAC.
Cell towers started to sprang up all over the country, and calling plan prices when from dollars to cents per minute. Communication for the masses was finally born. Today, it is hard to find anyone who is not chatting on their cell phone, or has a wireless blue-tooth headpiece attached to their ear like a "Borg" appendage. Along with this explosion of communication technology came new products and support services like cell phone covers, calling cards, ring-tones, ear pieces, camera phones, text messaging and Internet access. Just about any function you can perform on your home computer can now be done on a cell phone that weighs less than a pound. While both cell phones and accessories are entering the consumer market at a rapid pace, new models will replace old, and today's hot new accessories will end up in tomorrow's landfill. Cell phones and accessory devices, including headsets and batteries, provide new opportunities for a variety of green business models to emerge.
It is estimated that there are over 20 million used cell phones in households across America. While some cell phone service providers and manufacturers are championing recycling efforts, a savvy
Entrepreneur might be able to find a niche in the cell phone recycling business. The main key to success in the cell phone recycling business revolves around acquisition. Some people throw their cell phones in the trash. Most, are just forgotten, winding up in cabinets, closets, and designated junk draws of households throughout America. The general public, for the most part, is still unaware that their old cell phones can be recycled. In some areas of the country, used cell phone recycling efforts are not as prevalent or as well known as cardboard and aluminum can reclamation. Performing your due diligence and setting up cell phone collection stations within heavily trafficked locations within your state or local community is one way to make the general public aware of your recycling efforts. There are several trade groups can provide you with market research, as well as support material to help you set up collection stations.
One such organization is The International Association For Wireless Communication, (Ctia.org). Ctia.org provides position papers and articles pertaining to how used cell phones are collected for recycling. Use the search feature on their homepage and type in the keyword phrase "recycle". RecyclewirelessPhones.org is another organization dedicated to helping individuals and businesses start a cell phone recycling business. After you have done your research and set up a number of used cell phone drop off stations, the next step is to find a profitable sales outlet for your merchandise. The good news is that you don't have to set up a website or sell your phones on Ebay to make money (unless of course you want to). With the proliferation of wireless communication in everyday life and new models replacing old ones, some recycling companies are now specializing in buying new and used cell phones. GRC Recycling (Grcrecycling.com) is just one company that pays for new and used cell phones. GRC will pay anywhere from fifty cents to thirty dollars depending on the make, model, and condition of the cell phone you have to offer.
Recellular (Recellular.com), and Ecophones (Ecophones.com), are two additional companies that are similar to GRC Recycling. Ecophones.com will also pay for used laptops, camcorders, and other electronics items. In addition to buying your used electronic merchandise, both Ecophones and GRC Recycling offer advice and counsel for profit and non-profit businesses who want to set up used cell phone collection stations. Free sources of education about the used cell phone industry can be found at Cell For Cash (CellForCash.com). They offer a free downloadable eBook for all consumers and businesses interested in collecting and selling used cell phones as a full or part-time business. If you are thinking about getting involved with a business that has the potential for profits while keeping the landfills cleaner, and the planet greener, then the used cell phone recycling is the business opportunity for you.
3D television technology is becoming increasingly popular with each passing day. Due to the rise of popular 3D feature films (namely Pixar's Up and James Cameron's Avatar), major television manufacturers began developing three dimensional home television technology in 2009.
There are several methods that these manufacturers use to create 3D images on an LCD television; some are more expensive than others, and some are more feasible than others. This article will discuss the three primary methods of 3-D home theater technology that will be used in upcoming years.
Lenticular viewing: This technology has been pioneered by Philips, and is available as of today. TV sets that use this technology can be watched without those funny glasses that audiences used in theaters. These televisions use a lens that can send different images to each eye. That is, your left eye will see a completely different image from your right eye, which will emulate your two eyes' use of stereopsis (the process by which your eyes discern depth). The one weakness of lenticular viewing, however, is that a viewer must sit in a very specific spot in front of the TV. This means that only a couple people would be able to comfortably watch the TV at once due to its small viewing angle.
Passive glass systems: Hyundai is developing this type of LCD monitor which will allow both 2D and 3D images to be viewed. To watch the 3-D images, viewers will need to wear the traditional glasses in order to watch three dinemsional media. This technology is nothing new: the TV has two overlapping images and the glasses have polarized lenses. Each lens is polarized so that it can see only one of the two overlapping images. This technology is very feasible and 40 to 50 inch LCD TVs with this technology are currently available for purchase.
Active glass systems: This system is very similar to the passive glass system, except rather than the TV doing all work, the glasses do. The glasses synchronize with the refresh rate of the TV, then they alternate the polarization of each lens, making the wearers of the glasses see 3-D images. With this technology, people could be watching a 2-D movie comfortably, then at will switch the movie into 3-D. This type of monitor is being developed by Samsung and Mitsubishi, but the downside is that the glasses could be very expensive. Some predict the glasses to be upwards of 0.
The Samsung Finesse r810c was released for Straight Talk Wireless in December, 2009, and created a LOT of buzz among prepaid phone users. At first glance, the r810c appears to be everything prepaid users have been dreaming of: it includes a large touch screen, high-speed EVDO data connection, music player, 2.0 mp camera, camcorder, bluetooth, and many other features.
To top it all off, this phone is now available on Straight Talk's inexpensive, no-contract plans. At per month, the unlimited calling, text, and data plan is pretty appealing, especially when that data is coming over a 3G connection. For people who, like me, are geeky enough to lust after the iPhone but "frugal" enough to stick to prepaid, this might be the perfect solution.
In fact, I couldn't resist. After reading a few of the initial reviews of the Finesse from other Straight Talk users, I bit the bullet and purchased my own Samsung r810c, along with a month of unlimited service.
I've just received the phone, and I'm so enamored with the device I set up a separate Samsung r810c website to publish my review of the phone and share tips and tricks with other Straight Talk users. As I gain more experience with the Finesse, I'll be putting up a very detailed review of the phone. I'll also do my best to answer any questions that people might have if I happen to miss important information in my review.
As I said above, I've only had the phone a few days, so I haven't used it enough to really test it out. Here's what I can tell you so far, though - the voice quality seems adequate, but not fantastic. I would say it's on par with the Samsung r451c, another Straight Talk phone released earlier this fall, but not quite as good as the LG 290c and 220c, also recent models on Straight Talk.
What is beyond compare, though, is the touch screen and EVDO browser. The touch screen definitely takes some getting used to, but I think I'll grow to like it. It's similar to an iPhone or iPod touch as far as how the touch screen works, but just a little different in sensitivity.
One thing worth noting here is that, unlike the aforementioned Apple products, the Finesse lacks "multi-touch" functionality. This means that the screen can sense only one "touch" at time, thus preventing use of Apple's popular pinch-to-zoom operation. As an iPod touch user, I find that a little disappointing. Beyond that disappointment, though, I like the touch screen. This is the first touch-screen phone I've used. It's nice to use, and even nicer to look at it
One thing that I really like is the EVDO internet access. I've had several phones now with internet access, but used them all very little because they were so slow. That is not the case with the r810c's 3G data. It's certainly not as fast as broadband internet at your home, but it's fast enough that I'd be happy to use it to pass time while waiting in a waiting room or as a passenger in a vehicle.
Just as a point of reference, I was able to load the CNN website in about a minute, complete with a dozen pictures. On previous prepaid phones, if it loaded at all it would have taken several minutes to load a site like CNN, and that wouldn't have included any pictures at all.
To check my email from my Yahoo! email account, it took me about 3 minutes to load the site, enter my password, and download my messages. I then reset the home page to yahoo mail, and saved my login info automatically. Now I can get to my new messages in about 45 seconds.
Samsung r810c Finesse Review - Straight TalkIn recent years, watching video of opposing pitchers and hitters has become an invaluable tool for major league and college baseball teams. It is also a fantastic way for hitters and pitchers to diagnose flaws in their own mechanics. Now more than ever, video is a huge part of the recruiting process. With the popularity and affordability of digital video cameras, and the ease of which the formats can be uploaded, edited and emailed, video is now a big part of the recruiting process. Having a recruiting video is not necessarily a new concept, but it has come a long way from bringing the bulky camcorder out, recording a VHS tape and sending out recruiting packs that required a decent amount of postage. There are several ways to go about creating an effective video, and we can review a few in this article.
First off, a player needs to decide who will actually be shooting the footage. For those with the means, a good sports videographer can be hired. The advantage of this is that the cameraman will know which camera angles to use, will have all of the necessary equipment (which will typically be high quality), and they will normally provide the editing, conversion to DVD and add music or other effects. However, there are a couple of downsides. One is obviously price. Ive seen anywhere from 0-0 for this service.
You can shop around in your area. To me, the bigger drawback is time. If you are looking to hire a videographer, you will usually have one day to work with them. You may even be limited to a few hours. This is fine if you are using workout footage only, you just have to make sure that you get enough good footage to put on tape. If a player were to have their parents do this, they could accumulate footage over a much longer period of time.
If you decide to create your own video, here is what you will need.
o Digital Video Camera and Tape or Memory Card
o Tripod (video can be done without a tripod if you have a steady hand)
o Video Editing Software
o YouTube Account
o Radar Gun and Stopwatch
Just to walk you through the necessary components, the camera and tape are obvious. Your equipment should come with a USB cord, CD or memory stick that allows you to upload the video file onto your computer. Once the video is loaded, you will want to edit it. Coaches prefer baseball recruiting videos to be about 5 minutes long at a maximum. If you are taping a hitter for example, you will want to move dead time on the video, bad swings, etc. Keep a coaches attention with as much action as possible. Most computers come with a program called Windows Movie Maker, which is very easy to use. You import your video to the program, then you simply copy and paste frames as you need them. At the end, you can even add your own music (keep in mind if you load to YouTube there are rules about music). A YouTube account is free, takes about 2 minutes to create, and allows you to share your baseball recruiting video with the world.
Finally, a radar gun and stopwatch are vital. If you do not have one, I recommend borrowing them from your high school coach, or renting one for a day. A JUGS or STALKER gun are preferred. There is a reason I recommend this so strongly. It is quite common for players, or even high school coaches to overestimate the ability of a given player. College baseball coaches can be very apprehensive about this. It is one thing for a pitcher to email a coach and say that he throws 85mph.
Now, if someone can hold a radar gun in front of the camera as the pitcher throws showing the reading at 85mph, THAT is something that will excite a coach and can separate your video from that of another player! By the same token, a stopwatch can be used to show a player run from home to first, or a 60 yard dash (do this on a football field or somewhere that the distance is clearly defined). If you can do this, it is much to closer to what it is like for a coach to see you at a showcase.
Finally, once you have a video you are satisfied with, you need to determine how to distribute it to college coaches. There are many recruiting services that can assist with this that have different functions. Two popular services are NCSA and Perfect Game, but you often have to attend their showcases in order to have the video posted on their site. If you are making your own video, Baseball Recruits Online provides a cheap way to email video to coaches and has position by position tutorials on exactly how to make a recruiting video for a player with sample templates to follow. When you send the video to a coach, the proper procedure to follow would be to begin with programs you are interested in (don't send to every coach in America!), and then have the player (not parent) make a follow up call to verify that the coach received the video. A good time to do all of this is before the player's junior year of high school.
Remember... don't expect your recruiting video to get you a scholarship offer. You are simply attracting a coaches attention in hopes that he will come see you at a game or showcase, or invite you to campus for a workout. That is when the offers will come. Keep a good attitude, improve your game, keep your grades up, and you will find a place to play ball at the next level.
The Scarlet Letter is a novel with much symbolism. Throughout the novel several characters represent other ideas. One of the most complex and misunderstood characters in the novel is Pearl, the daughter of Hester Prynne. Pearl, throughout the story, develops into a dynamic symbol - one that is always changing. Although Pearl changes, she always symbolizes evil. Pearl symbolizes evil in the story by representing God's punishment of Hester's sin, symbolizing the guilt and the scarlet letter that controls her behavior, and defying Puritan laws by being cheerful and associating with nature. Pearl represents God's punishment by her mocking and nagging of Hester. Throughout the novel she sometimes seemed to her mother as almost a witch baby (Matthiessen 104). She is a baffling mixture of strong emotions with a fierce temper and a capacity for evil. With Pearl, Hester's life became one of constant nagging, and no joy. The child could not be made amenable to rules. Hester even remarks to herself, "Oh Father in heaven - if thou art still my father - what is this being which I have brought into the world" (Hawthorne 89)? Pearl would harass her mother Piyasena/Pine 2 over the scarlet "A" she wore. In time, Hester was subjected to so much ridicule from Pearl and others that she was forced into seclusion. Pearl represents the sins of both Hester and Dimmesdale. Pearl is said to be the direct consequence of sin (Martin 108). Their sins include lying to the people about the affair that led to Pearl. Hester realizes what Pearl represents when she does not hold Pearl up in front of the "A." She carries the child around because it is a direct reflection of her sin. Hester is, "wisely judging that one token of her shame would but poorly serve to hide another" (Hawthorne 48).
Dimmesdale's sin is not adultery but not having the courage to admit that he had adulterated. Therefore his is a "concealed sin." The scarlet letter amuses Pearl, and also controls her behavior. It is noted that, Pearl has been described in terms almost exclusively of uncontrolled, chaotic passion (MacLean 54). Throughout the novel Pearl is attracted to the "A." Even when she is just a baby, "her infant's eyes had been caught by the glimmering of the gold embroidery about the letter" (Hawthorne 90). When Pearl is older and Hester throws the letter on the ground, Pearl yells at her mother until she places the "A" back on her bosom. Hawthorne says that Pearl is, "the scarlet letter in another form; the scarlet letter endowed with life," (95) which proves the she is truly the scarlet letter. Throughout the book the "A" is the sign by which the colonial authority seek to fix the crime and the criminal (Ragussis 97), although the cloth shows the sin so does Pearl. She is a far stronger device for punishing Hester than Piyasena/Pine 3 the piece of cloth on Hester's chest. Due to her influence, Pearl becomes the chief agent to her mother's salvation. Hester and Dimmesdale share much guilt because of Pearl. Dimmesdale's guilt is filled with mental anguish, and serves as a constant reminder of his sin. Dimmesdale is a minister [who] commits adultery and is driven to public confession by remorse (Martin 108). He remains silent so that he can continue to do God's work as a minister. It is said that he was a guilty character [who] finds empathy in connection with others (Peckham 92). Pearl brings him guilt when he would not stand with them on the scaffold; "Thou was not bold! - thou wast not true! ... Thou wouldst not promise to take my hand, and my mother's hand, tomorrow noontide" (Hawthorne 150)! Hester's guilt, however, is derived from both Chillingsworth and Dimmesdale. Chillingsworth married a woman who did not love him, which is one of the causes of Hester's guilt. Dimmesdale causes her guilt when he sees her suffering alone for the sin that they both committed. Though they both committed the same sin, only Hester's shines through. Pearl was cheerful due to the scarlet letter her mother possessed. When the breastplate at Governor Bellingham's Mansion distorts the scarlet "A" into something overpowering and horrible, it is Pearl who points at it, "smiling at her mother with the elfish intelligence that was so familiar an expression on her small physiognomy" (Hawthorne 99). Even as a child, Pearl is affixed to the letter "and, putting up her little hand, she grasped it, [the letter] smiling, not doubtfully, but Piyasena/Pine 4 with a decided gleam" (Hawthorne 90).
Pearl's tendency to focus on the scarlet letter is fully developed when she mimics her mother by placing a seaweed "A" on her own chest. Much of Pearl's strangeness comes from her exceptional quickness of mind and the abnormal environment in which she is reared with only her mother as a companion. As Pearl develops a personality, she becomes symbolic of the kind of passion that accompanied Hester's sin. Hester tolerated Pearl's pretentious behavior but could not find it in her heart to condemn the child. As Pearl thus becomes so closely associated with the letter "A" on Hester's breast she becomes the embodiment not only of Hester's sin but also of her conscience. Nature is an amusing hobby for Pearl; therefore one of her favorite activities is playing with flowers and trees. She fits in with natural things, "and she was gentler here [the forest] then in the grassy margined streets of the settlement, or in her mother's cottage" as Hawthorne notes in the novel (202). She is so closely affiliated to nature that the creatures of the forest approach her instead of disperse. "The mother-forest, and these wild things which it nourished, all recognized a kindred wildness in the human child" Hawthorne notes as Pearl is on a walk with her mother (202).
However, the Puritans believed that anything affiliated with the forest was evil; therefore, Pearl defies their laws by being effervescent and joyful in the woods. Some of the Puritans even believe her to be a demon offspring. So unusual is her behavior that she is often referred to in such terms as "elf child," Piyasena/Pine 5 "imp," and "airy sprite." Pearl is a virtual shouting match between the Puritanical views and the Romantic ways. Pearl is a source of many kinds of symbolism. She is both a rose and indeed the scarlet letter. If she had not been born, Hester would not have had to wear the letter. Pearl is a burden to Hester; yet Hester loves her. She is also her mother's only treasure and her only source of survival. Without Pearl, Hester would have lived a different life, one without the scarlet letter, one without sin, and one without her treasure.
The Scarlet Letter and SymbolismCaptain America fans across the world have flocked into cinemas to see this year's release of the film, and with this surge in popularity it is expected that Cap will be arriving on doorsteps looking for candy. With this in mind, the Captain America Halloween costume should be easily obtainable.
Most costume stores should carry the outfit, but with the low price tag can come the low quality and some fans may not be content with the looks given. Superheroes typically have a high standard of looks, and an avid fan might want to emulate this, though specialist stores are often incredibly expensive.
In order to make your own costume, the first step is deciding which style to pay homage to. In the film we see the hero using a firearm, whilst in comics he was a hand to hand specialist. This is not only an aesthetics dilemma to consider, but also a legal one as the police patrol looking for deviant revelers.
Similarly, the shield Cap uses has typically been a circular type, but he has on a few occasions used a heater shield. The round shield measures at 2.5 feet wide, so plastic or something similarly light might be the preferred material to use rather than the vibranium-iron alloy in comics.
Decorated in red, blue and white with stars and stripes, the image is a patriotic one, topped off by the freedom wings at the side of the head representing the liberty eagle. The mask is blue, and has eye holes and a gap for the nose and mouth.
The torso in the comics was made of something akin to scale, but cloth should be a viable alternative. Light blue in colour, a five point star, in white, is across the center of the chest. Around the abdomen a circle of red and white vertical lines gives a girdle appearance to the suit.
The torso's blue stops at the arms as it approaches the elbow and is changed for a white, which seems to extend all the way to the hands. Red gloves cover the white, though, and stretches towards the elbow, making it difficult to determine. The trousers are blue, and boots are red, in a folded over design which may be difficult to acquire in stores.
The circular shield has three rings of red, then white, then red, and blue at the center with a white star similar to the chest. The heater shield has three stars at the top on a blue background, and vertical lines with blue in the center and edges, flanked on each side by whites, and two reds flanking those.
